Chapter 5 of "Mexican psychology at work" by Mauro Rodriguez refers to Mexican depth psychology. He says mexican man is weak because of so much repression he has suffered, and that makes him superstitious, indifferent, and vulnerable to remain oppressed.
This exercise proposes a political reappropriation by incorporating a translation to the incomprehensible verbalization of Mauricio Gutierrez, from sentences extracted from one of the speeches of Sub Comandante Marcos mixed with lyrics by artist Tony Gallardo. The texts refer to demands for political and social nature denouncing violence while the theme song is an ironic attitude towards violence in Tijuana.
Violence during the last century has been the most used tool by governments to exercise oppression. In this sense, the political thought of Marcos and Tony takes at least two senses. On the one hand, the artist gives voice to the protagonist, who, unable to speak, can thus denounce the violent conditions in which he is located. Moreover, revolutionary political discourse is reactivated and relocates in a context where logic becomes effective and belonging.
